The first three treks we seek to promote based on this concept are situated near the Tibetan border, they provide spectacular views of the mountais with beautiful terracing and Rhodoendron forests .Among the ethnic groups residing in the region are Tamang, Magar, Sherpa, Gurung , and Brahman,each group with its own values and tradition but all living together in harmony. There are many small colourful hamlets and farmsteads on route, the main crops grown are rice,wheat,maize and millet. The trek takes you through villages mainly inhabited by Tamangs, Sherpas, and Brahmins with some interesting monasteries and temples.

The Kalinchok trek in particular provides spectacular views of the mountains to the north with the upper stretches of the Sun Koshi river viewed to the South. The early stages of the trek are particularly colourful in spring through thick Rhododendron forest.From the highest altitude of Kalinchowk (3579m) there are some splendid views of Annapurna, Lamjung, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Shisha Panga , Langtang, Dorjee Lakpa, Jugal Himal, Amabamori, Gauri Shanker, and Numbur Himal.

There is the oportunity to visit a prominent temple for Hindus constructed to worship the Goddess .Two natural springs originate from this region,Sundhara and Tama, which are the main sources of the large Sun Koshi and Tama Koshi (rivers). The trek ends at the district headquarters Charikot where we overnight before travelling to Kathmandu the next day.
