Trek to Gokyo, Kala Pattar & Everest Base Camp with a crossing of Cho La at 5420m this trip begins with a trek to the tranquil lakes at Gokyo, and then crosses a challenging and spectacular pass, Cho La (5420 m), to enter the main Khumbu Valley, taking a direct route from Gokyo to Everest Base Camp. The return journey to the Khumbu capital of Namche will take you through many small Sherpa villages, including visits to the famous monasteries at Pangboche and Thyangboche. Also included is the opportunity to trek to the summit of both Gokyo RI and Kala Pattar for magnificent views, before visiting Everest Base Camp for a closer look at the spectacular Khumbu Icefall. This circuit, including the ascent of two of Nepal's most spectacular view points, provides a taste of the Khumbu that is second to none, and offers an excellent challenge to the ambitious trekker.
